The Board in 2004 launched a programme of upgrading and revitalization of skills, systems and resources within the organization with a view of realizing superior levels of accountability, transparency and efficiency amongst management and staff, and guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Through the medium of the Coffee Industry Board ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System (QMS) these objectives have been achieved. ISO 9001:2000 standard emphasizes customer focus, people involvement, leadership, a systems approach to management, continual improvement and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
Conformance to our QMS norms has created a more transparent and efficient working environment, with the promulgation of quality policies, procedures and industry standards as well as stated performance objectives. These are continuously updated based on periodic evaluation and of course feedback from our external and internal customers.
